It was always like that after school, a ritual that anchored my 12-year-old world: jumping off the bus, dropping my bacpack in the mudroom, grabbing a snack and heading straight for the field where Mattie, my beautiful Appaloosa, and Lucky, our mischievous Shetland pony, would be waiting....

Newsletter Notes...

A Note about Dressage...

Dressage is a form of horse training, often described as the "ballet of horseback riding," where the horse and rider perform a series of precise movements in a harmonious display of athleticism and communication. It's a discipline that emphasizes the development of the horse's natural abilities and willingness to perform through progressive training methods.  This awesome sport has impacted my life story and is featured in my books.

Horse Care...

I like the holistic approach through prioritizing the horse's well-being, understanding their natural needs and behaviors.  I hope sharing my experiences and practices help to optimize the health and soundness of our happy horses.

Fun Fact...

Horses are full of surprises.  It is always a good idea to learn something new about our fascinating equine friends!  For example, did you know that horses remember your face and emotional tone?  So put on your warm, calm smile when meeting a new horse!
